I am eager to use my experience and abilities to serve the district, city, and state where I have lived for more than 28 years.  Here’s what I will bring to the state legislature:

I bring an understanding of faith and a gratitude for God’s blessings.

I have been active in the church my entire life, becoming ordained as a deacon in the Episcopal Church in 1992.  I have served as Sunday School teacher, Christian Education Director, summer camp dean, choir director, and prison ministry volunteer.  I have participated in multiple boards and committees at the diocesan level as well as in my local church.

I bring an appreciation for family.

My husband Steve and I have been married for more than 33 years, and we have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, two delightful sons-in-law, and two lively grandsons. Both in my personal life and professional experience I have seen the importance of valuing our families and providing the support they need.

I bring a love and commitment for my community, my state, and my country.

My experience as an educator at both public and private schools for more than 25 years and as an active community volunteer has given me a special perspective on the strengths and needs of our community.  In addition, over the past two years, I have visited every neighborhood in District 87 to talk to the people who live here and to hear their issues and concerns and ideas.  I look forward to visiting with you during the 2008 campaign!
